Go and vote! It's important!
The Cree of Eeyou Istchee are called to vote a treaty with the Federal Government concerning the Cree marine region. Under this proposed treaty, Cree rights to continue to occupy and use the offshore area will be officially recognized by the Constitution of Canada.
For this Agreement to be approved, over 50% of all Cree beneficiaries eligible to vote must have voted in favour of it. Therefore each single vote is important!

This week the information sessions in the Cree communities will start. There you will find a lot of information on the subject (an Open Letter by the Grand Chief, instructions on how to vote by mail, etc.).
